The nursery encourages full involvement of parents and carers. Each day there is an opportunity at the beginning and end of each session for parents to speak to the manager or staff. Appointments for longer consultations are readily available.
Parents are requested to commit to volunteering to help for one morning per term. During the session they play with their children, met their friends, help prepare and administer snack, read at story time and general involve themselves in the goings on at the nursery. Their child is given special responsibilities during the session to mark the day.
A number of events are held during the year to which parents are invited together with extended family and friends: Pancake party, Spring Hat parade, Sports Day, Christmas Performance, coffee mornings, teddy bears picnic.
In addition the nursery has visitors during the year and makes trips out and parents involve themselves in these events whenever they are able to do so.
