Admissions

When it is time for your child to join a nursery you need to know they will be in an environment which appeals to your family and lifestyle

Due to overwhelming demand we are currently not taking on any new admissions.

However, if you like what you see on our website and would like to find out how to add your child to our waiting list please email Jessica at admin@grayswoodnurseryschool.co.uk.

Registration

Initially you will need to come and visit the nursery.  If you think what we offer is right for your child and family we will provide an enrolment form for you to complete.  A registration fee of £50 is required with your form and this will secure a place.  We will confirm receipt of the form and payment in writing.  This will also be the time when we confirm whether or not the days you require are available. Once we have offered you a place the registration fee is non-refundable.

Run-up

Two terms before your child is due to start at nursery we write with information about your start date, the settling in process and request a deposit payment of £100.  The deposit will be refunded from your last invoice at the nursery but if you choose not to bring your children without giving us a full half term of notice this deposit is non-refundable.

Settling In

Our settling in process is rigorous to ensure you and your child feel comfortable within our setting.  You will be invited to a stay and play session at the nursery, we will book a home visit for you which must take place prior to your child’s start date and we will endeavour to provide a 1 hour session in the nursery for your child prior to their start date.  At this time a member of our staff will undertake a formal observation to see how your child plays and this will enable us to provide appropriate resources and activities when they start nursery.

Progress

Our aim is to ensure we work together to provide a thorough and beneficial experience for you and your child whilst they are in their early years.  Each child will be assigned a key-person whose job it will be to settle your child at nursery, plan their development progress and provide a touch-point for you at the nursery.  If your child has particular educational or medical needs you will have access to our manager and SENCO to ensure we work closely with any external professionals as a team.

“Thank you so much for all your hard work, enthusiasm for the outdoors and the fantastic trips you have put on for the leavers. There is no other nursery that compares.”
